Camellia tsaii merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Theaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah China (Yunnan selatan), Indo-China utara. Nama ilmiah Camellia tsaii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Hsen Hsu Hu pada tahun 1938.
