Campylotropis speciosa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Himalaya hingga Tibet dan Bangladesh. Nama ilmiah Campylotropis speciosa diperkenalkan oleh John Forbes Royle pada tahun 1912.
