Canavalia macropleura merupakan tumbuhan perdu dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Venezuela. Nama ilmiah Canavalia macropleura diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Charles Vancouver Piper pada tahun 1925.
