Capelio tomentosa merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Provinsi Cape. Nama ilmiah Capelio tomentosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nicolaas Laurens Burman pada tahun 2002.
