Carex albolutescens merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan greenwhite sedge. Nama ilmiah Carex albolutescens diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Lewis David von Schweinitz pada tahun 1828.
