Carex alsophila merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Victoria. Nama ilmiah Carex alsophila diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Ferdinand von Mueller pada tahun 1874.
