Carex arctiformis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan polar sedge. Nama ilmiah Carex arctiformis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Kenneth Kent Mackenzie pada tahun 1931.
