Carex atlantica subsp. capillacea merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang. Nama ilmiah Carex atlantica subsp. capillacea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Liberty Hyde Bailey pada tahun 1980.
