SHORTBEAK SEDGE Carexbrevior (Dewey) Mack. ex Lunell
Carex brevior adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan shortbeak sedge. Nama ilmiah Carex brevior diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Chester Dewey pada tahun 1915.
