Carex buchananii adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Pulau North Selandia Baru. Nama ilmiah Carex buchananii diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Sven Berggren pada tahun 1880.
