Carex cataractae adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Tasmania. Nama ilmiah Carex cataractae pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Robert Brown pada tahun 1810.
