Carex ceylanica adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Sri Lanka. Nama ilmiah Carex ceylanica pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Johann Otto Boeckeler pada tahun 1876.
