Carex crus-corvi merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kanada tenggara hingga Amerika Serikat bagian tengah dan timur. Nama ilmiah Carex crus-corvi pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Robert James Shuttleworth pada tahun 1844.
