Carex flaccosperma merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Amerika Serikat bagian tengah dan tenggara. Nama ilmiah Carex flaccosperma diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Chester Dewey pada tahun 1846.
