Carex forsteri adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Selandia Baru. Nama ilmiah Carex forsteri pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Göran Wahlenberg pada tahun 1803.
