Carex hormathodes merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang. Nama ilmiah Carex hormathodes pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Merritt Lyndon Fernald pada tahun 1906.
