Carex melanocarpa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang. Nama ilmiah Carex melanocarpa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Adelbert von Chamisso pada tahun 1856.
