Carex molestiformis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Amerika Serikat bagian timur-tengah. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan frightful sedge. Nama ilmiah Carex molestiformis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Anton Albert Reznicek pada tahun 1997.
