Carex rupicola merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis. Nama ilmiah Carex rupicola pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Troels Myndel Pedersen pada tahun 1996.
