Carex stenocarpa merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang. Nama ilmiah Carex stenocarpa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nicolai Stepanovitch Turczaninow pada tahun 1935.
