Carex supina merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan weak arctic sedge. Nama ilmiah Carex supina pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Ludwig von Willdenow pada tahun 1803.
