Carex tahitensis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kepulauan Society (Tahiti). Nama ilmiah Carex tahitensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Forest Buffen Harkness Brown pada tahun 1930.
