Carex temnolepis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Jepang (Honshu). Nama ilmiah Carex temnolepis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Adrien René Franchet pada tahun 1898.
