Carex tenuiflora merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan sparseflower sedge. Nama ilmiah Carex tenuiflora pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Göran Wahlenberg pada tahun 1803.
