Carex thouarsii adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Tristan da Cunha. Nama ilmiah Carex thouarsii mulai dipublikasikan pada tahun 1819.
