Carex tricephala adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis. Nama ilmiah Carex tricephala diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Johann Otto Boeckeler pada tahun 1875.
