Carica aprica adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Caricaceae (suku pepaya-pepayaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Peru. Nama ilmiah Carica aprica diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Victor Manuel Badillo pada tahun 1971.
