Carissa haematocarpa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Apocynaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Namibia selatan hingga Provinsi Cape. Nama ilmiah Carissa haematocarpa diperkenalkan oleh Christian Friedrich Ecklon pada tahun 1844.
