Carthamus carthamoides adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Aljazair hingga Maroko. Nama ilmiah Carthamus carthamoides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Auguste Pomel pada tahun 1889.
