Carthamus lucens merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Maroko. Nama ilmiah Carthamus lucens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis John Ball pada tahun 2003.
