Castela depressa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Simaroubaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Hispaniola. Nama ilmiah Castela depressa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Pierre Jean François Turpin pada tahun 1806.
