Catalpa ovata adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Bignoniaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah China. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan chinese catalpa. Nama ilmiah Catalpa ovata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Don pada tahun 1837.
