Ceiba speciosa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Malvaceae (suku kapas-kapasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil hingga Peru dan Argentina timur laut. Nama ilmiah Ceiba speciosa pertama kali dipublikasikan pada tahun 1998.
