Celmisia holosericea merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim dingin (subalpin atau subarktik) di wilayah Pulau Selatan Selandia Baru (Fiordland selatan-tengah). Nama ilmiah Celmisia holosericea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Forster pada tahun 1844.
