Celosia trigyna adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Amaranthaceae (suku bayam-bayaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis Afrika dan Afrika Selatan, Jazirah Arab. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan woolflower. Nama ilmiah Celosia trigyna pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carolus Linnaeus dalam Species Plantarum tahun 1771.
