Cenchrus myosuroides merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di kawasan tropis dan subtropis Amerika . Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan big sandbur. Nama ilmiah Cenchrus myosuroides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Sigismund Kunth pada tahun 1816.
