Cenchrus trisetus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Ethiopia hingga Zimbabwe. Nama ilmiah Cenchrus trisetus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Georg Gustav Paul Leeke pada tahun 2010.
