Centaurea diluta merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Macaronesia, Mediterania barat. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan north african knapweed. Nama ilmiah Centaurea diluta diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama William Aiton pada tahun 1789.
