Centaurea macroptilon merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Eropa tengah dan tenggara. Nama ilmiah Centaurea macroptilon pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Vinczé von Borbás pada tahun 1877.
