Centella erecta merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Apiaceae (suku adas-adasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di kawasan tropis dan subtropis Amerika . Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan erect centella. Nama ilmiah Centella erecta pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Linnaeus the Younger pada tahun 1940.
