Centella macrocarpa merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Apiaceae (suku adas-adasan) yang tumbuh dalam bentuk perdu kecil atau semak. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya. Nama ilmiah Centella macrocarpa diperkenalkan oleh Achille Richard pada tahun 1940.
