Cerastium fontanum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu kecil dari famili Caryophyllaceae yang memiliki siklus hidup semusim (annual). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Eropa utara, Pegunungan Eropa tengah dan selatan-tengah, Maroko, Greenland. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan common mouse-ear chickweed. Nama ilmiah Cerastium fontanum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Johann Christian Gottlob Baumgarten pada tahun 1816.
