Cercis chinensis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah China. Nama ilmiah Cercis chinensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Alexander Andrejewitsch von Bunge pada tahun 1833.
