Cestrum poasanum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Solanaceae (suku terong-terongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kosta Rika. Nama ilmiah Cestrum poasanum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis John Donnell Smith pada tahun 1902.
