Chaerophyllum procumbens merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Apiaceae (suku adas-adasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kanada tenggara hingga Amerika Serikat bagian utara-tengah dan timur. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan spreading chervil. Nama ilmiah Chaerophyllum procumbens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Heinrich Johann Nepomuk von Crantz pada tahun 1767.
