Chaetobromus involucratus subsp. sericeus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Namibia selatan hingga Provinsi Cape barat. Nama ilmiah Chaetobromus involucratus subsp. sericeus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Christian Gottfried Daniel Nees von Esenbeck pada tahun 1998.
