Chaetogastra purpusii merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Melastomataceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Meksiko (Veracruz). Nama ilmiah Chaetogastra purpusii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Townshend Stith Brandegee pada tahun 2019.
