Chaetopappa asteroides merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Meksiko tenggara, Venezuela, Amerika Selatan bagian barat, hingga Brazil (BrasÃlia dan D.F.). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan arkansas leastdaisy. Nama ilmiah Chaetopappa asteroides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Thomas Nuttall pada tahun 1836.
