Charpentiera obovata adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Amaranthaceae (suku bayam-bayaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kepulauan Hawaii. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan broadleaf papala. Nama ilmiah Charpentiera obovata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Charles Gaudichaud-Beaupré pada tahun 1826.
