Chloris castilloniana merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bolivia selatan hingga Argentina bagian utara. Nama ilmiah Chloris castilloniana diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Lorenzo Raimundo Parodi pada tahun 1918.
